Soft Escapes - 2026
The Soft Escapes series continues the designer’s vision of restorative escapism, translating it into a new material direction through ceramic work. In this project, the focus shifted strongly toward the ceramic process itself, with extensive experimentation in plaster molds to create reproducible forms.
The shapes are developed intuitively and are designed to evoke a gentle, imaginative atmosphere for the viewer. Each object invites open interpretation and personal storytelling rather than offering a single fixed meaning.
Two main ambiguous forms emerged from this exploration. One form suggests a cactus or ginger-like plant, while remaining intentionally open in identity.
The second form follows the same principle and is often compared to a fantasy-like snail-crab hybrid. Together, these pieces form a collection that can function both as part of an installation and as a standalone statement object for an interior space, such as a windowsill.
